概要 There were no landless farmers in Cambodia in the 1980s after the distribution of farm land. At the end of 1990s, one out of seven families is landless due to the rising price of land by the introduction of market-economy. Rural people consisting 80% of national population are facing the risk of impoverishment since their livelihood is based on agriculture and natural resources. The research analyses the reasons of land issues, land conflicts, and landlessness in rural Cambodia.
