概要 This study examines the gains in English proficiency over an 18-month study abroad program and possible correlations between those gains and personality traits as measured by the Yatabe-Guilford Personality Inventory. Findings indicate that neurotic students began with higher proficiency as measured by TOEIC but improved less than extravert students over the course of the program. In addition, the study finds a positive correlation between extraversion and fluency as measured by the SPEAK test.
