概要 In this paper, we mentioned about the identification of novel physiologically active peptide from the skin of Japanese tree frog Hyla japonica. Identified peptide was histone H4 which was well-known as the component of nucleosome core. It was also revealed that histone H4 was strongly hemolytic against human erythrocytes. In addition to that, we achieved the cloning of cDNA encoding the ORF of histone H4.
