概要 In this paper, we mentioned about the identification of novel antimicrobial peptide from the skin of Japanese tree frog Rhacophorus schlegelli. Identified peptide was histone H2B which was well-known as the component of nucleosome core. We also shown that isolated histone H2B had antimicrobial activity to E.coli. In addition to that, we achieved the cloning of cDNA encoding the ORF of histone H2B.
