概要 The paper aims to investigate a communicative practice as one of the recent serious problems affecting ‘technical intern trainees’ (henceforth ‘trainees’) employed at a workplace in Japan. Especially, we focus on a communication gap between Chinese trainees and their Japanese employers in a local workplace, a chicken farm, in Japan by analyzing their interviews based on the framework of Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis (2001, 2003).
