概要 Abstract: Design Art in current Asia has been developing along with the rapid economic growth while absorbing European and American culture. On the other hand, we are concerned about the undermining of Asian uniqueness (regionality and climate). We think that the Asian uniqueness will become more important and necessary for the future development of the nation. We focus not only on the "classic" which respects indigenous, ethnic and traditional history of the nation, but also the "avant-garde" which is newly developed from the classic. Thus, we decided to hold the exhibition at the Royal University of Phnom Penh by publicly requesting for artworks from all over East Asia and Southeast Asia. The aim of the exhibition is to visualize and create a new Design Art with rich Asian characteristics through cultural exchange.
