概要 Issues related to manpower are matters of survival in small and resource-scarce Singapore. This is the reason why the education system of the city state adopts a multi-track approach since 1979.
This paper uses the results of a survey research to illustrate the possible social impact of educational competition on marriage, childbirth and child-rearing in Singapore.
