概要 In Spanish, la bancada bicameral femenina, or BBF, is a coalition among female politicians in Uruguayan parliament beyond and outside party system. I examine the role of BBF in the political process in Uruguay. My analysis focuses in particular on womens's struggles for recognition of their rights of democratic participation in the public space.I propose that BBF plays an important role in pomoting women's rights in contemporary Uruguay.
