概要 Moving from a culture of autonomy to one of standardization has its challenges. However, with accreditors requiring the standardization of curricula and assessment practices, many institutions are now facing this situation. The presentation outlines the steps one institution took to meet the challenge of making major revisions to its curriculum and assessment practices despite faculty preference for no such changes. In particular, the presenters describe professional development activities designed to improve faculty understanding of accreditation standards and best practices in language teaching. The presenters also explain how they attempted to create faculty buy-in and how the faculty evaluation process was used to ensure that standards were met.
